Have NEVER been a Daniel fan.

Thought it was wasted cap space.
It's tough to describe "it" but you know it when you see it.
He looks polished and poised.
And, I think, more importantly, dude looks tough, mentally.
I would be extremely motivated if I were Alex having to practice with these guys every day. They can see that shit too.

There must be something in practice, game planning, and prep that impresses the hell out of Reid when it comes to Alex Smith.

FYP

There is no way the D can cover him against those teams the way he has played.

If Smith shits the bed during the home opener-you will see him booed out of the stadium. And chants for CHASE -the first INT. Fans have seen enough of this guy.

Must be the bloated contract and that they are both Training Camp Kings. Once the season starts... we know how that ends.

Alex can't even look good in preseason- I think we are screwed this year.

Reid has come out throwing these first two games. Smith's track record is spotty at best when the game plan features throwing over the run game. Throwing with Smith is at its best when it is a compliment to the running game. Hopefully that will be the game plan early this season, or those 4 games will be very tough to win.

You guys understand that a coach will never openly criticize his starter even the trigger on change has already been pulled.
Ever hear Harbaugh say one harsh word about Smith?

The only its "only preseason" thing is bullshit
Yeah the final score is irrelevant but performance is not. I remember Vermeil lead offenses and Marty lead defenses kicking 1st quarter and 1st half ass in the preseason just fine. No excuses needed.
