If he comes back next year, I would be shocked.
He would really be putting his health in serious jeopardy with one good hit. You can easily see how he has declined as the year wore on. On a selfish note, if he does I think it would be better for us rather than then the young Brock Osweiler

If Manning would've Roy Hobbs'd out and won the game, then yeah, his performance would be on the same level as Rodgers.

He played like shit for 2 straight months. Something clearly wasn't right. Either he was injured or father time just caught up to him in full. It's time for him to probably hang them up. Body just broke down. |

I disagree. but clearly playing with a quad injury for a QB isn't the end of the world considering Peyton *allegedly* has had a torn quad for at least a month. Guy couldn't make any throws. Has anyone ever watched Peyton and thought, "damn, he literally can't make any throws?" Well that was the last 6 weeks of 2014. |

and that was when McCoy was trying to make him run a huddle up offense
they fell down to SD like 21-0 that 4th game (I think) and then he started running the Peyton no huddle and he was a machine and they ended up winning the game and never went back to the McCoy huddle up offense. Clearly, something happened this year where Peyton just lost all the drive behind his throws. It was pretty evident for about two months. Yesterday wasn't even a choke ... the guy just had no chance. He had nothing behind any of his throws. |

Manning is the most overrated QB to ever play so no this won't change a thing.

I don't know if he was getting by on pure arm strength, but I do think it limited his ability to make plays outside of the pocket, not necessarily scrambling for yardage. I'm sure if Rodgers was 7 years older with a fused neck, his leg injury likely would've had a bigger impact on him than it did yesterday.

Shouldn't Denver have listed him on their injury reports?

lol I was totally kidding about him tearing his quad so that's kind of funny
but, if anything, it should show how totally overblown the Rodgers quad injury is if a 39 year old can play on a torn quad that already had problems driving the football ... a guy that is 9 years younger with 3 times the arm should be just fine you know, as evidenced yesterday |
