Good for Bowe...I hope he does well. Terrible fit for Reid's route-specific offense though...I'm glad they split without too much butt-hurt.

Reading between the lines: it's interesting that Reid didn't really try to tweak his system to try to get more production out of Bowe.

You can't "tweak" a qb that can't throw

When the Chiefs have like 1 good OL and 1 good WR it's really not.

Smith > McCown/Manziel Charles > whoever the hell they start Maclin > Bowe Kelce > Barnidge They do have the more proven line but we'll see when the season starts as far as that goes. Your post above is as crazy as I've heard in awhile. |

I think Bowe was a victim of Alex Smith's unwillingness to throw a dangerous pass. He did well with Cassel because he became sort of a safety blanket, just toss it up to Bowe and let him go get it. Bowe could not get enough separation to make it comfortable for Alex to throw to him.

The only reason the comparison would even be close is if you include offensive line, which, let's be honest, no one ever does when you're talking about offensive talent. Thomas and Mack are two of the best at their position. They also had a nice RB combo last season and drafted another, but who is their WR2? WR3? TE? Their QB situation leaves a shit ton to be desired. Our QB > their QB situation. Our RBs >>>>>>>>> their RBs. Our TE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> their TE. Our WRs > their WRs. |
