Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

And yes, definitely, a family nerf gun fight sounds like a great way to make some fun memories. |

Someone should jump on the 14.7" lightweight upper for $319.
I would, but I have to draw the line somewhere. |

I took the carbine out today. Had many double fire's, off one pull of the trigger, I dnt think the disconnect is catching (weak spring?)& the second round is going off as you release the trigger? I dnt think any were out of battery or slam fires. time to do some research
Edit/ I have come to realize, I have more fun working on guns in the shop, then I do shooting them. I must be getting old & boring. Last edited by LiveSteam; 05-04-2014 at 06:45 PM.. |

When you get it fixed send it to me. My M1 needs a stock replacement.

My father put an AR 15 trigger spring in incorrectly and it double fired, too. Check that out. |

Agreed, I will be switching out all the springs for new. I'll toss the old springs in bag & keep with the rifle,as I'm sure they are original parts

Which one of you guys told me about Wilson combat 1911 buffers on a Mini? I can't find any videos showing the install of them. Do they actually help?

me & yes. they keep the operating rod from slamming against the receiver & slamming at the other end. you will have to break the gun down. first few times suck. then you'll get the hang of turning the operating rod so it comes out. give me a few & I'll try and find pics. I dnt think their is a vid.

IIRC this man only installed them on the receiver side.which is the most important of the two sides
Now that you own a Carbine, this is a great message board to read tips, tricks & other such gun bible stuff. http://www.perfectunion.com/vb/ruger...ll-w-pics.html Buffers, you can make them out of rubber, leather ect. they dnt have to be these wilson combat buffers http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/161254744026?lpid=82 Last edited by LiveSteam; 05-04-2014 at 10:20 PM.. |

Thanks for the help. I've been reading perfectunion for a few weeks trying to read about the mini. I'll probably buy the Wilson ones first.
