Overreaction Planet

It took a perfect storm for us to lose by one point to the team with the second best record in the AFC last night. SB teams lose games (almost) every year. We have been hanging around 18% chance to win the SB all year. It will in all likelihood end in disappointment. This was always true.

Bottomline is we weren't as good as some of you thought before this game and we are better than some of you think afterwards. In either case, expect to walk away from this season without a SB victory. Play the long game.

The years of football purgatory has taken a toll on the fans. I was talking to a guy last night and he was so negative about the Chiefs. No chance to win in Seattle, etc. I am upset that I let one game get me so down. After all, it doesn't hurt anything to believe.

I believe... because CHIEFS!!!!

Just win the AFC West, get the #1 seed & win one playoff game and I’ll be satisfied with the season.

We were literally the favorites to go to the Super Bowl and probably still are. We lose 3 ****ing games and now it’s “just win one playoff game”

Shit, the OL blew first down, too.

Reid isn't at fault here.

Now that we have the QB...you need to draft fatties.

Look at the screen up top. Conley and Kelce are blocking for Tyreek and there isn’t a 3rd defender in the clip, which looks to be 12 or so yards.

It was simple math. 3v2 with an incredibly fast receiver, even on one leg. Would have been at least a 7 yard gain.

Pat has to see that.

Patrick has to get better.

this.

Defensive collapses are the story of the Reid era. The common component? Bob Sutton.

It's past time to try something new.

As good as Patrick is, he can't overcome that level of ineptitude.

This season has been all that we could've hoped and more; Mahomes is the real deal-no question, a generational talent. The defense has been even worse, despite bringing in a couple of 'proven talents' that have somehow regressed to OUR mean. There's a problem with the entire defensive coaching staff.

Yep. Nobody saw this coming this year especially Mahomes being this good so soon. We all would have been satisfied with a .500 season IMHO especially knowing your defense can't even stop a pop warner team.

And the funny thing is they happen in slow motion too. I realize you can't fix talent between plays or between series, but a lot of what we keep seeing repeated year in and year out are easy to see.

The only (bad) excuse the Chiefs have is that they kept counting on Berry to be back to lead the D to/with some magic.

You know when, like crack addicts, they reach for the pipe of "Bend but Don't Break", they know what they're doing is wrong, has proven to not work, and could likely result in a loss, but the smoke it every time. And the O does their part by being very predictable instead of having that step-on-their-throat mentality.

And I'm sure they swear-off ever doing it again after each time that pipe ****s them. But they know they're lying.

In before, "What the hell do you know, Andy's a God!"

Andy's nickname should be changed from walrus to choke-a-potumus.

This is a special year, he'll be able to do it in the regular season and the playoffs.

If our defense was simply mediocre, we probably would be undefeated. It is simple is that.
