Ok the offense scored a run. So I don't want to hear any whining about the offense. All Bannister needs to do is pitch complete game shutout and he has his win. So no excuses pitching staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Hillman told Bannister to pitch around Pujols in the 1st he is a total ****head. I was all with Jamie Quirk when he said in the 1ast we should have gone after him. Just smacks of irony when you pitch around him in the 1st inning with 2 out no one on and you pitch to him in the 3rd with 1 out and RISP.

What makes you think Bannister was told to pitch around him? Lots of pitchers are scared to death of Pujols.

probably because I get pretty annoyed about constantly reading about how bad we/the team/the managers/etc suck. Not occasional criticism, but a never-ending river of "that was stupid".

Fundamentals of baseball. Why some teams end up 100 wins, others 62.
