Why The Chiefs WILL Win The AFC West

Listening to all the talk about this being the worst 9-0 team ever etc... and looking closely at all the contenders schedules prompted me to post this. I STRONGLY feel the Chiefs will win the AFC West and "likely" secure home field throughout playoffs. Here's why... The Broncos may well be the best team in the NFL but they just lost their Head Coach and at the worst time possible! Denver's next 4 games are BRUTAL! @ Chargers, Chiefs, @ Patriots and @ Chiefs....I dont care how little its being talked about losing Fox is a big deal and it will effect them. San Diego is TOUGH at home having already beaten Cowboys and Cults and may likely hand Denver loss #2 this week. Then they play us twice and New England in Foxborough with a new General at the helm....thats a tough deal. I see the AFC homefield coming down to Chiefs and New England. If New England loses in Carolina this week then home field is VERY attainable. Andy Reid is 13-1 in his career coming off bye weeks. If the Chiefs can win that game and start 10-0 for the first time in franchise history then all the odds shift. Right now today the Chiefs are 12-1 to win the Superbowl while Denver is 3-1. Today we are at 5-1 to win AFC while Denver is 2-1....now is a good time to bet because that will change if Andy Reid goes to 14-1 off bye weeks against a team who just lost their General. I see Denver as being more dangerous in playoffs than they are now. Our chances of beating them in Denver now are better than they would be in January. But my prediction is that they will have to come to KC in January which will give us a fighting chance with the best fanbase in the NFL in our corner.

I don't see why.

Towards the end of last year the Seahawks completely dominated the 49'ers not long before the playoffs.

Guess who went to the SB?...

I don't know why everyone thinks beating Denver in Denver will make the media respect us anymore. If we win, wow, we beat a team without a head coach, if we lose, we were fake the entire time. I am growing to hate this game, but still wanna beat the shit out of the .

Shouldn't bother you or anyone else here a bit... just don't care what others think about your team... particularly the fickle world outside of the Chiefs.

It is going to take more than beating Denver in Denver. Although beating Denver in their on house will gain the Chiefs some respect it will also generate a loss of respect for Denver in a lot of peoples eyes.
Yes beating Denver is one of the steps, but it is not the most important step. The offense has to look like a viable threat to produce. Not just able to take advantage of a short field provided by the defense or special teams.

I don't think he is very effective so it won't affect the team much at all. The Broncos will still be the Broncos.
