It's Raider Week. And Don't Forget It.

It's Raider week god dammit. One of the only weeks you can throw out the records and just worry about winning this one game at the moment. As we know, they've won six games in a row at Arrowhead.

ONLY Derrick Johnson, Tamba Hali, and Dustin Colquitt know what it feels like to beat the Raiders at Arrowhead. The rest of the 50 men on the roster have never seen or felt that.

This Raiders game means more this season than it has in the past dozen years or so. The Chiefs are making their climb back to the top with a new regime and mentality, while the Raiders are making an attempt back to mediocrity, and maybe even respectability with a quarterback that could actually become a decent player. To me this one means even more than the last game of the 2011 season which kept us out of the playoffs and away from the division title. Jesus Tebow swooped in and helped block those field goals. This game is about the future of the rivalry.

The rivalry has been dead over the past few seasons dating back to when Herm took over, and the Faid drafted Jamarcus Russell. Something in the rivalry died a little because both teams began a tumble into darkness and the Raiders just pushed themselves further down.

This game is about renewing the rivalry. And most importantly reclaiming Arrowhead stadium as the loudest stadium in the NFL, and among the toughest places to play.

We're 3-0 on the road this year. Arrowhead stadium needs to be undefeated in 2013. Beating Oakland not only gives Kansas City a 95% chance at making the playoffs by being 6-0, but it keeps these mother ****ers down with the scum of the NFL like they should be.

Some quotes from Raider fans to enlighten your day.

Quote:
I hate the chiefs. We have to be prepared for the chiefs starting a fight, throwing a quick early punch, and drawing us into a penalty if we retaliate. Its always the one who starts the fight and throws the first punch that gets away with it. If they cheap shot one of our players to try taking them out of the game we must retaliate ten fold. If they try to "Siragusa" Pryor the whole bench needs to come out and defend our star. The only thing that will stop a cheap shot is if the opposing team knows that we will come after them x 10.
Quote:
Now lets go beat some Chief a$$ AGAIN. Every year recently there's thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and 2 chief beatdowns to count on. Lets keep it going, just win baby.
Quote:
Just don't turnover the ball, they are also not great against the run (5.3 yards per carry) so hopefully Jennings or Mcfadden are back to go with Reece.

Quote:
I think these guys might not be as good as everyone thinks, look at who they have played.

Jag's - 0/5
Cowboy's (bairly 16/17) - 2/3
Eagles - 2/3
Giants - 0/5
Titans - 3/2 (only team they beat with a winning record.)

I think we can beat these guys.
Quote:
Isn't it strange how some teams get creampuff schedules, and others get tougher schedules, with no rhyme or reason? How does Denver get one of the easiest schedules? How many teams does KC play until they face someone who had a winning record last year? Very odd.
What a dumbass smh

Quote:
Alex Smith's career record when the opponent scores at least 24 points: 2-27-1
Do you guys remember Alex Smith's career record when throwing more than 35 passes? Oh yeah...

Quote:
"KCs record is the result of an easier schedule and some good fortune."
True, and that stifling defense is playing a small part as well. Oh and the +10 takeaways might be helping a little bit. Oh and out-scoring their opponents by an average of 14 points a game is something that could be helping them.
I liked this last guys response

If you're going to the game... I better not hear Marv Albert and Rich Gannon AT ALL while the Chiefs are on defense.

Let's bring it Kansas City.

Succop to kick left footed? Gretz done lost his mind!

THE KICKING BATTLE FEATURES POLAR OPPOSITES
October 12, 2013 - Bob Gretz | Comments (3)

On the field Sunday when the Chiefs host the Raiders will be a pair of kickers that could not be more different.

Kicking for Oakland will be 14-year NFL veteran Sebastian Janikowski, otherwise known far and wide as Seabass. A native of Poland, he landed in the United States as a high schooler, attended Florida State and was a first-round selection, pick No. 17 by the Raiders in the 2000 NFL Draft.
Kicking for the Chiefs will be 5-year NFL veteran Ryan Succop, otherwise known as Mr. Irrelevant. He grew up in North Carolina, went to school at South Carolina and was the last player taken in the 2009 NFL Draft at No. 256.

Other than they both hold a job as kicker in the NFL, there’s only one other thing Janikowski and Succop share and that’s kicking with their left foot.
There’s a very good chance that one or the other’s left foot will be part of a climatic play when their teams meet at Arrowhead Stadium.

History tends to repeat itself in the Chiefs-Raiders rivalry, so it would be no surprise if this Sunday’s game came down to a last-minute field goal to decide the outcome. Janikowski has been there many times before, including four games at Arrowhead where he kicked the field goal that gave his Raiders a victory: …Read More!
