Forget the Mahomes aspect.

I'm more concerned about Alex sitting a week and then losing his mojo and playing like crap in the playoffs.

No...some of us appreciate the fact that Smith is finally playing to his potential and want to enjoy the rest of this season while looking forward to Mahomes next season.

I do want to get a taste of Mahomes in Denver though.

I don't think the injury concern for Mahomes is the biggest issue.

I think it's the possibility he balls out, Chiefs obviously start Alex for a first round playoff loss and this would be a huge blow to Andy's ego. I don't think he'd want that QB controversy conversation to have a chance to take place.
