Priest played well..

Would have been great if we'd had a real FULLBACK in front of him. Getting a fullback would also help out the O-Line.Like to see Grigsby get a full game behind him.

Priest is still quick and instinctive.
He's still got that great vision.

Through the miracle of radio, I got the impression Priest was making the most of the blocking he had.

I was surprised at the number of carries Herm gave him, though. I was actually looking forward to seeing what the Kolby has to offer. I guess that will have to wait.

how ironic that so many not only blew him off, they cut him down ...questioned his integrity, doubted his credibilty and mocked his commitment to return....treated him like a discontinued shoe and now we are nothing of short of damn lucky he decided to play again.

His will be the first authentic jersey I've ever purchased.

I never doubted Holmes.

Very well said, stevieray.

I was thrilled to watch him behind that legendary O-Line for several years. No one ran "Student Body Left/Right" better since Lombardi's Packers.

Now, I think he's the perfect back to help keep Brodie from getting killed.

Yep. Priest sure looked good. He has moves still that L J never will have.

BTW, the whole FB thing is probably DV's fault too. It doesn't matter that Herm was the HC when the T-Rich decision was made. Or that they really didn't do anything all offseason even after the Chiefs lost their FB early on last season.

Priest looked 10x as adept at using his (limited) blocking as LJ does. He also has a burst of acceleration that he can use in a single stride. He hit the hole with purpose and his smaller body was also easier to conceal behind the Chiefs OL. Not real powerful or anything, but he almost always moved the pile forward and had maybe 1-2 plays where he was tackled in the backfield - an accomplishment for this team (we lead the NFL in negative yardage plays and plays yielding no gain). I am discounting the one 14 yard loss as Priest was desperately trying to make something happen. I think we all forgave him for that as he was doing all he could for a hapless offense.

Yep.
He is a TRUE CHIEF like Dawson, Lanier, Bell, Podalak, Taylor, Gonzo, and DT.

Heck, I even admitted some displeasure with Kris Wilson's recent play today.
