Since Snyder walked back in he has been no better than Prince. Snyder has failed to recruit a QB since Ell Roberson. His defenses and the coaches who coordinated them have been horrible since 2004. He had a decent DC last season, but for the 100th time couldn't keep him. So we resort to a retread that failed miserably in his stint at Maryland. In 2004 KSU lost three games by way of ST's play. Sproles fumbled 3 punts in the KU game that year, and Jermaine Moreira attempted to field a bouncing punt in the CU game at home that year, in the 4th quarter with less that 3 minutes to play, got crushed, fumbled. CU marched in for the wining score. And we all know who the ST coach/guru/overseer was that season. Saul's criticism is warranted. And if our fanbase wasn't so damn sentimental about him, we could be moving forward. Instead we are stuck with a horrible coaching staff that recruits just well enough to be middle of the pack in the Big 12 North. Shouldn't we aspire for more? |

The problem is not so much with Snyder the Coach, but that quality coaches don't want to work for or with the man. By quality, I mean guys that can both recruit and coach/teach. To be completely honest, a Coach Snyder led Staff hasn't had a top-notch quality assistant on hand since Bret Bielema left, and that was 7 fkn years ago! I knew we were in shitloads of trouble when Coach had to "get the band back together" in order to assemble the staff. Who came back? Former players who couldn't get a gig elsewhere, and retread Coaches with no upside. I loves me some Coach Snyder, but he needs to find a QUALITY replacement, and quick. The Program needs to move forward, and that means without HCBS. jmho

Listened to the national feed of the game at work, and even those guys were speechless on the call. Not having that rat **** of a call does not guarantee the'd have made the 2 pt conversion, but good god. Just caught the replay on Sportscenter. You guys really took it in the shorts. And while Saul is right with his comments about the defense, that is no way to end a bowl game.

I'm not going to make any more collages about football either. I'm fed up. Only basketball collages for me from here on out. |

Cats offense firing on all cylinders today. Wally and Jamar have been great.

Pretty much this, though I'd just suspend the ref for a year then insist that he should have to work his way back up the rotation.

Kind of a funny talking point, but our last OT game was December 5th, 1998. I can recall several times off the top of my head we've avoided OT. Yesterday after a failed 2 PT conversion. Blocked XP in 2009 Farmageddon Illinois State failed a 2 PT conversion instead of kicking the XP to tie it in Ron Princes first game |

I agree that our D was terrible this season (and has been for a while), and I also made the Prince/Snyder comparison talking to a friend yesterday. You guys are telling me anything I don't already know. My comment was a general statement that Saul doesn't just criticize, he bashes the Cats. Whatever, like I said, say what you want.

Yea, I can go a bit overboard with my criticism at times. The kids out there aren't pros, so any bashing of them is unwarranted. The coaching staff deserves it though.

Rehire Snyd'z!!! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAh!!!! "It'll be just like 95-03". The worst possible move the university could have made was going backwards trying to capture magic that was lost as soon as Snyder failed to recruit during the month prior to 03 Fiesta Bowl. Snyder needs to go. The sooner the better. |

What might have been if Patterson would have come to KSU. I love Bill Snyder but wish he'd stayed retired.
