Madden '17

Anyone getting a little excited? Seems like they have really made an effort this year.

Franchise mode is getting an overhaul according to recent news:

1. Full player editing while your franchise is progressing.

2. Coaching/FO decisions.

3. In-game ticker with live updates.

4. Practice squads.

5. New commentary team that will actually talk about things happening in your franchise.

6. Draft has been tweaked with more busts/gems.

Gameplay improvements:

1. Zone Coverage overhaul.

2. New ball-carrier special moves.

3. Real gap control on defense.

4. Real ball physics. In the past the ball would tether to a player based on ratings.

They also overhauled kicking to make it a challenge now. There's a new three-click system and weather/location will play a factor. Also, apparently on clutch kicks if the opponent "freezes" the kicker by calling a timeout the kicking meter will disappear and you have to make the kick by muscle memory. Kicks and punts can also be blocked.

How badly all of this shit is ****ed up on release remains to be seen but it does seem like they are making a big effort.

I'm so scared of blocked punts I choose punt tight almost every time.

It's dumb that would happen to a vet like Colquitt. I knew it would break the game adding that fluff. Traded up and snagged a Ray Lewis clone and a Josh Norman Jr slipped to my 2nd. Both Superstar development Drafting is fun this year. Buh bye Robo Lynch!!

Nevermind shredded by Denver again. Knocked out 2 QBs and their 3rd stringer lofted a hail mary through Peters fingers again to Thomas for the win. 3 and 1 though my losses are always the same. Robo style!

It didn't break shit, pussy. Stop whining.

My lone loss last season was completely due to my offense being shut down, BTW. I probably have 3-4 defensive games a year, which is nice.

Going to be an expensive upcoming offseason.

My Pro Bowl QB, DE, LG, star MLB and starting LOLB will all need new deals as their rookie contracts are expiring.

I currently have 12M in cap space, but that's with rookie reserve at 0.

Fortunately Houston's $26.7M is the last year of his deal, and I'll be able to cut most of Eric Berry's $14.5M, but that's still only $40M for five players who will all want huge deals, including the two most expensive positions. Eric Fisher is also set to earn $14.5M in the last year of his deal....might be a goner as I just drafted a 21-year old LT with my 1st round pick.

Gonna be tight.

Im sad my QB James Friedman retired, but he finished his career with 76,000 yards passing and 760 TD passes. Sure Hall of Famer.

Now on to grooming the next franchise QB Mike Cassel. Scary eh.

Thinking bout restarting my franchise. My team is scary to go against. Scary good.

I know alot of yall make fun of my posts but this is for real. Love this game. Franchise mode his awesome. They should at least let a player be put on the practice squad up to 4 years experience instead of 2.

This PGM/Clay rivalry can be settled easily:

Play online head to head. Let's see who's better.

i actually have to lower the sliders to his levels now. The game was almost unplayable with acc that high. Highest rated D in the league and they were like the Vermeil Chiefs with CPU Acc 60 and run block 65. I have Human Acc nerfed to 25 and i find that to be decent.

I had a a PERFECT, UNBELIEVABLE All Madden slider set from like Madden 12. Game results were incredible....Those didn't mesh well with this version though .

I've been playing my brother's copy here recently and I am super impressed with how they have developed this game on all fronts. I have one major complaint though.

It feels that on almost every throw/catch I am left wondering if the receiver actually caught the ball or not. I often have guys come open, catch the ball clean, take two steps, and the ball knocked loose while being lightly drug do the ground.

I can't get Maclin to hold on to shit in this game. Kelce is a monster though.
