Not "bragging", but I've missed 2 games since I started KU in the fall of 2000. Both were due to being out of town. I'm a fan in both the bad and good times. Funny that someone would use 100 degrees and sunny as their excuse for not attending a game.
I usually go to a couple a year with my boys, but I'm a much bigger fan of the NFL than college. Plus the NFL games are 10 minutes from my house. I never go to the KU opener because it's always blazing hot and the opponent always blows. But to each his own. I went twice last year and didn't really enjoy either game. Crappy teams will do that to you.

Kicked down to Free State Bewing for a late lunch, wife had a meeting up on campus. Sat at the bar next to a couple from South Dakota and struck up a little conversation. She asked me how many people we should expect to see at the stadium, and I looked her straight in the eye and said "55,000". Her eyes bugged out and she just about rolled off her stool.

Yeah, I may have exaggerated a touch, but it'll be full. She thought it was nuts in Lawrence on a football gameday, and asked me what it was like on a basketball gameday, and I told her to add an order of magnitude.

I have 2 links that say they are the KU game but both are showing the Samford/Ark game.

I am not sure who your provider is, but I have Cox and it's on 2022. Channel 22 if you don't have HD.

This is the first game that is part of TWC's exclusive rights. Its bullshit. I have DTV, so do all my friends, and so does every sports bar in KC. Im checking this thread for updates, but apparently no one else can watch either.

Will be the same for hoops pre and post game shows, and 6 hoops games next year.

Thanks KU. Hope the extra money is worth it.
