Mock (3/15/13)
I'm going pure BPA with this mock. Zero consideration will be made with respect to position or need (unless I risk drafting three guards or something like that.)
Assumptions: 1. They get one compensatory pick, an extra third (Carr). 2. The Chiefs try furiously to trade down, but there are no takers. On with the show: 1. DE/NT Star Lotulelei, Utah I think Lotulelei is probably the best pure football player in this draft. I say probably because who the hell knows this year. There's no elite talent, there's only one QB worth a damn and all the best physical talent is wrapped up in projects like Ezekiel Ansah and Lane Johnson. 3. OLB Alex Okafor, Texas Okafor is more of a 4-3 DE, but like I said, this is a BPA mock. 3. S Eric Reid, LSU I loved Reid in 2011, in 2012 he was pretty tame by comparison, I've dropped him a bit in my rankings. 4. TE Jordan Reed, Florida Athletic receiving TE this team could use. 5. QB Zac Dysert, Miami (Ohio) This guy's shot up my board. Will be interesting to see where he goes in the NFL draft. 6. WR Josh Boyce, TCU 7. DE Chris Jones, Bowling Green |

Wow...
3. OLB Alex Okafor, Texas Available in the 90s? 7. DE Chris Jones, Bowling Green It would be a crime if he makes it out of the 4th. But, like I said in the other mock from today, who knows? |

If we're picking around 90, I went back as far as the low 80s. |

I would have no beef w/ this mock, especially if Dysert is there in the 5th.

Okafor falling to the second would be a crime, but the third? unpossible.
Reid will go in the late first, early second. Jordan Reed is sort of a wildcard. I suspect he will be late second early third. Dysert will be gone in the second, imo. But I would love it if it turned out this way. |

Interested to see where Star goes with his heart condition. I honestly have no idea how much it will affect his stock
