The Chargers are in the house..

Not sure why, but the chargers private jet just landed at the downtown airport. Looks like they came from Tampa.

I've heard they might be desperate enough to trade with us for Albert...

Also, they have pick 2.15 (45 overall)

Is that enough for Albert?

That's too much, IMO, as a Chargers fan.

No. Especially since they are in the same division.

He was 15th overall, now has 4 years of NFL experience, and he has proven to be a top 5 LT. It is not a guess or hope deal, like it would be with a draft pick.

I think it is a 1st and a 2nd, or no deal.

In fact, signing him to a long term deal is the only thing that makes sense, not trading him to a division opponent.

Yeah, and like I've seen over the past couple years, OT's tend to physically break down pretty early. A 2nd for maybe 3 good years of service? I don't trust it. We need to use our draft picks to rebuild our team. What's the point of using them to sign a name when our team isn't going anywhere for at least 3 years?

Because in your FO's mind they have a franchise QB with a limited window of opportunity. Might be a few key spots from competing, such as...

LT, OG, WR, OLB/Pass Rusher, DT, CB

If you can't get the top3 OT, but you might get Warmack or Cooper @11, flip #45 for Albert, take the OG @11, and fill the others thru remainder of draft and try to put the pieces together in the next couple years. And if KC demands another mid round pick next year for the cornerstone on the O-Line, do it. Yea, DO IT!!
