See if Eric Berry can take what he did yesterday and revamp himself to be the player he once was. It's not like he just kicked cancer ass or anything that was less of a miracle.

While I don't fault anyone for saying Poe, as he's very important and probably IS the one that should be kept, the whole 'Eric Berry isn't very good' is one of those memes that is almost exclusive to this site. It's been said about pretty much every player who's any good at some point. Hell, for years there was a crowd around here saying Poe was over-rated AFTER his all pro season.
Someone said it, and the parrots rolled in to repeat it. I think some folks around here just like being contrarian and shitting on quality players. |

Not saying E Berry isn't a quality player. For the money you lose too much when trying to make room for both. What value are you truely gettin when you have to replace the 3-5 players you are proposing to cut? I hate to burst your bubble but he just isn't worth it. With Poe you keep a lot of pieces.

Given their age\positions, I'd wager Poe will play out his next contract at a high level of productivity over what Berry will be able to accomplish. That's not a knock on Berry, just an observation of elite DB's seemingly falling off that cliff around 29\30. Even Ed Reed struggled to stay on the field\remain consistent after 30. Woodson being the obvious outlier.
