You don't see "draft for replacement/new contract forthcoming" working in to that scenario?

Tell me again who the reeruned one here is, please.

I'd be fine with Dorsey actually drafting the best player on the board when we pick...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Fisher was widely considered the best player in the draft. He was at the top of most big boards, while a few had Joekel at 1

All are very real options. A WR may be considered, but Dorsey would probably prefer a Pro Bowl caliber tackle over a really good but unspectacular WR. Landon Collins is an option, as are a couple CBs.

But it will almost certainly be OL.
With the list of teams ahead of us that need OL help as bad or worse than we do I don't see Flowers, Collins, for sure not being available when we pick.

I am doubting it will be a tackle. They have made comments about Stephenson having a clean slate, Jeff Allen is probably best at tackle and will compete there, and us bringing in Sherrod. I think I saw somewhere that Andy Reid's highest drafted center in his Philly era was Jason Kelce in the 6th. And lord knows he loves to draft his lineman. So unless there is a La'El Collins who can slide inside and play guard I think that we wait a few rounds.

Honestly we cleaned up decent in free agency enough that we have no massive needs other than quarterback. But we've got weak links everywhere that could be upgraded. So for the first time in a long time I think I'll be ok with whatever happens. For the record I wasn't terribly upset with the dee ford pick. But I'm a sucker for pass rushers.

The NFL needs to move the draft back to mid April and have the first two rounds together.

We definitely need one. Hali is only here for another year. If Houston stays....that still only leaves Houston and Ford after this year.

I am just afraid if we were to draft Dupree, or if Gregory happened to fall, that it would be the end for Houston. I would be nervous until we got out of the first round that we would be trying to deal Houston.

Best case scenario.....we have our rotation of 3 guys once Hali is done.

Worst case scenario.....we have our replacement for Houston if another team decides to **** us after the draft.

I seriously hope not.

If they can't make the RT position work with either Don Stephenson, Jeff Allen or Derek Sherrod, something is seriously wrong. There is no chance that none of those guys, all of whom were extremely talented players coming into their own respective drafts, will work out.

I would take La'el Collins if he were available as he'd most likely be able to upgrade four positions on the offensive line and play immediately, but other than him, I'm not going to be happy about an offensive lineman in the first this year.

Hell, honestly, I wouldn't be very happy about Collins if a guy like Bud Dupree was still on the board.

I think that the value this year is the value that was last year, i.e., you take the athlete/high ceiling guy in the first and then fill out the rest of the draft with good football players. They've got enough picks to roll the dice on a legit freak like Armstead or Dupree and then stock up of proven commodities the rest of the draft.

I just don't see the need for an offensive tackle that high when Stephenson, Allen and Sherrod are on the roster.

At least that's how I see the 2015 at this point.
