Umm....we need Oline and WR...BAD. Those 2 are massive needs

We need at least 1 CB out of this draft

We need a starting ILB, can't believe we wasted money and re-signed Muaga, that was really ****ing stupid imo.

We need another TE

Probably need another NT to help give Poe some much needed rest.

Talk about all over the board. It's a darts game at 18. Top 5 was easier to pick.

'Noles homer likes your thinking but disagrees.

Erving will grow in to his body at some point but year one he's a top heavy beast that will be bull rushed right to the QB.

He's quick on his feat but weak and has almost no push. He's too slow to play T but not enough beef to play G.

He's a true tweener with huge upside for a team that uses ZB'ing or pulls him a lot...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I just don't see the need for an offensive tackle that high when Stephenson, Allen and Sherrod are on the roster.
Thats exactly where I'm at with right tackle, came to the same conclusion last week... there is plenty of starting grade talent between those three, a high pick here would be a waste, atleast in the short term.

But I could live with a 3rd on Havenstein, love the scouting reports on him... prototypical huge, nasty tempered right tackle.

For me, that #1 really needs to go towards receiver, Maclin was a great start... but I'm not at all ready to hang my hat on Wilson and Rogers, that corp is still lacking explosive athletes.

I just hope we dont go with Dorsett or Lockett, we already have a mighty mouse and I dont wanna start putting a together an Oilers style Smurf squad.

Someone atleast 6'0 tall please, Devin Smith would work.

If this is true then hell no

we don't need another 3-year project pick in the 1st round

between Dorsery picking projects and Reid's slow developing method it just takes too dam long for the current NFL

Just enough time for them to get good before Dorsey lets them leave for free agency

Strongly disagree. Huge dropoff after Parker who will most likely be gone. Then you have DGB who is a huge project and Jalen Strong, who is a clone of Dwayne Bowe who Alex Smith didn't utilize. We need that WR who is going to tons of seperation and can make a living off of YAC... Like Dorsett and Lockett

I love blazing speed as much as the next guy... but thats three guys in Thomas, Wilson and one of those two, going 5'9 or less.

Gotta have some size in there for a balanced squad, just because a guy is 6'0 or better doesnt mean they dont have the body control and quickness to get separation.

I would take La'el Collins if he were available as he'd most likely be able to upgrade four positions on the offensive line and play immediately, but other than him, I'm not going to be happy about an offensive lineman in the first this year.

Hell, honestly, I wouldn't be very happy about Collins if a guy like Bud Dupree was still on the board.

I think that the value this year is the value that was last year, i.e., you take the athlete/high ceiling guy in the first and then fill out the rest of the draft with good football players. They've got enough picks to roll the dice on a legit freak like Armstead or Dupree and then stock up of proven commodities the rest of the draft.

I just don't see the need for an offensive tackle that high when Stephenson, Allen and Sherrod are on the roster.

At least that's how I see the 2015 at this point.
1. Dupree will almost certainly NOT be on the board.

2. I agree with your larger point. I'd rather the Chiefs look elsewhere other than OT this draft, but it does make sense if they are continually concerned about Eric Fisher to have a longterm backup plan, lest we forget that all three of our possible RTs are FAs after this year.

I continue to think Erving makes the most sense. He plugs the massive hole we apparently still have at center, and offers tackle flexibility.

It honestly does make you wonder, though...

What if the Chiefs just said "**** it" to size, and just made their offense a virtual track team?

Charles, Davis, Thomas, Wilson, Dorsett -- all 4.2 and 4.3 guys, and Maclin was a 4.4.

It would make it awful tough in the red zone, they better get another good tight end if thats the route they go.
