Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD

http://www.amazon.com/Fantasy-Remast...l+fantasy+x+hd

I can't wait for this. I still think the opening animation during the Blitzball game is some of the best I've ever seen. The story is also one of my absolute favorites.

Anyone else going to get this?

I liked the stat building mechanic, uberizing, and Blitzball was a decent minigame. I never played X-2. I don't have a PS3 or I'd probably nostalgia. Still waiting for them to remake VII...

It's my favorite Final Fantasy of all time. The story, the characters, the journey, the love story, the sphere talent system, the ending was really the first video game ending that made me get verklempt... Just epic. This and Kingdom Hearts HD have been on my list for quite some time now.

Wasn't a fan of x-2 but X is one of my favorite FF games. I'll definitely be picking it up

You know, I can agree a lot with what's been said in this thread. If forced to choose I'd say VII was my favorite but X was probably a better game.

Tidus was a better main character than Cloud, which made the love story between him and Yuna better than Clouds threesome with Tifa and Aeris. The sphere grid leveling system was a ****ing phenomenal idea, the aeon system was better, and the dystopian-ish setting of Spira was more pleasing than the shitty, city-heavy Midgard or whatever the name was..

I'd say blitzball and chocobo catching/racing were about a wash. They were both actually pretty damn fun.

The only thing I can think of that was better about VII was the characters (outside of Tidus and Yuna I though the X characters were just whatever). Also, Sephiroth was more badass than Sin. Truthfully, I can't even remember the story for VII. Wasn't Sephiroth or Genova or whatever trying to steal the life force of the planet or something? That's pretty weak when compared to X, in my opinion.

One word puts 7's characters to rest ... Auron. I think one of the reasons I felt so strongly about X over most RPGs up to that point was voice acting, and not having to read all those dialogue boxes. Of course Sephiroth wins when you talk about Villains but I think people say Final Fantasy 7 was the best because it was so revolutionary.

Ahhhh, I totally forgot about Auron but you're definitely right. I actually liked Tidus better than Auron but Auron was definitely a badass.

I was more talking about Lulu, Wakka, Khimari, and Rikku. Not an interesting bone among that group. Seymour Guado was a pretty cool villain, as was Sin and the whole Jecht angle. Sephiroth was just the originial dope ass villain so he gets the edge.

I got a huge nerd boner after reading some of these comments. Auron is a very awesome character - I wish X-2 would have expanded on his story (either in the past for as a sequel).
