Perkins will make an impact on special teams, THIS year and could become a decent nickleback, especially learning from Surtain.
Browner to me is William Bartee II, or Julian Battle II. He's big and fast, but extremely raw.

A guy like Hawthorne or CJ Mosley has a better chance of getting on the field IMO, which means they have a better chance of making an impact, no matter how small.

I still think we need help at DT, I just didn't want to do it on the 1st-day. Now there's a guy that was a consensus 1st-day pick still sitting there - we should do it.

He was a force when they played USC this year. The announcers kept calling his name and I was screaming, "Somebody block this freaking guy."

That's true. But to be fair, Alford is a T and Brown is a G. Guards are generally safer picks anyway.

Scouts Grade: 60

Flags: (S: SPEED) Player lacks ideal speed at positionView by: Round | Player | NCAA School | Position | NFL Team | Flag | All Ranked Players | NFL Draft History You are signed into Insider and have access to the exclusive draft content below.
Strengths: Is a prototypical right tackle prospect with very good size and strength. Is at his best as a run blocker in the phone booth. Has good initial quickness for his size. Shows some initial power and the ability to knock defenders back with his hand punch. He takes solid angles and typically does a good job of getting in position in the running game. He is very strong in his upper body and shows the ability finish most defenders off once he has locked on. His effort is excellent. He will do a great job of driving his legs and working to finish. He also is adept at cutting defenders in space. He isn't as effective in pass pro, but he isn't necessarily a liability, either. He has adequate quickness in his set. Is aggressive and likes to attack before DE's have a chance to take him wide. He plays with good balance and leverage. Also shows solid hand-placement and a powerful punch. Is a leader, a high-character player/person, and a hard worker on and off the field.

Weaknesses: Lacks ideal athleticism. Is not nearly as effective in the running game when forced to block downfield. He doesn't run very well and takes too long to get to the second level. He is adequate in tight spaces in pass pro, but if you can get him wide and force him back on his heels, he lacks ideal COD skills. He will have trouble redirecting back inside versus the double move and can really look stiff against top-flight edge rushers.

Overall: Willis redshirted in 2000 and played as a reserve "tight" tackle behind Brett Williams from 2001-'02 before taking over as a fulltime starter at the position in 2003. Willis remained the Seminoles fulltime starter as a senior in 2004 and finished with 36 total starts during his collegiate career. Willis is a right tackle prospect with good size, strength and toughness. Willis will slip on draft day due to his athletic limitations, but he could turn out to be a good value for the team that takes a chance on him early on Day 2. If Willis continues to improve his feet and gets a chance to prove himself in the NFL he has enough size, strength, toughness and character to emerge as a starting right tackle in the right scheme. If nothing else, Willis has enough physical tools and versatility to backup the ROT and both OG positions, and he's the type of hard-worker and disciplined player you want around the locker room and practice field.

Willis' weaknesses makes him sound like he's not a good fit for the Chiefs. We need athletic guys that can get downfield when run blocking, and that's his weak point. He just doesn't seem to fit our running game.

Yikes!... RT. I didn't catch that. I doubt we will pick him now. So I'll cast my lot with Saul and change my prediction to CB Antonio Perkins. Disregard my previous prediction, boys and girls.
