That's fair to think that way, but MLB has a publicly-stated goal to reduce game times and research shows the sport is getting crushed among the Milennials (future customers) who consistently cite slow pace and long game times as a problem.
I love baseball and study it constantly - and even I have to DVR all these games because I can't bear to watch pitching changes or conference on the mound or throws over to 1B etc. If MLB wants to speed the game, pitching changes are the easiest time saver. 1 change per inning. Chris Young will start Friday. Volquez probably gets the ball Saturday with an extra day of rest. Same for Vargas/Sunday, though I'd be tempted to start Guthrie on his normal turn since the Tigers are so RH-dominant.
