Do you think anyone will ever hit more than 61 Home Runs again?

Closest recently is 58 by Ryan Howard a couple years back.

What do you think?

I'm not making a poll, just post your answer.

A Yankee very well could if the concerns about that stadium hold true.

I'm not sure if it's anyone on their current roster, though.

Eventually someone will. Records are made to be broken and athletes get stronger with advanced technology even without roids

Is this a trick question? Of course someone will. The only unbeatable record is likely the consecutive games hit streak, If only due to the intense pressure that comes with the 24 hour news/sports networks.

If you don't count Big Mac/ Sosa/ Bonds, which I'm not, nobody has since 1961.

Thats 48 years.

Pretty impressive that in this day and age nobody has been able to reach 61 (other than the cheaters).

Think about The Ballpark at Arlington, Citizen's Banks Park, Minute Maid Park, Coors Field, and even the same Yankee Stadium that Maris, Ruth, and Mantle hit so many home runs in.

How has nobody hit 61 in the last 48 years? Pretty amazing.

And, I don't think anyone will ever break DiMaggio's record, but nobody thought anybody would break Lou Gehrig's consecutive games played record either.

honestly Griffey could've done it, but the strike occurred and messed that up

He was on pace for 58.3, would've been close, but back then he was pretty good.

I think that one's doable. I don't think anyone playing is good enough to do it right now, but I don't see the pressure of that being put on until the last 3 weeks of the season, so I think the media pressure won't be that great.
