Pretty nice when you can wait for the season to be almost over, realize you're only going to qualify for a shitty bowl game, then decide to self impose a bowl ban.

Miami self-imposed two consecutive bowl bans. Last year's bowl ban also included a ban on playing in the ACC Championship Game.

It is called credit for time served... 2 bowl bans, 3 years of uncertainty that led to massive levels of negative recruiting tactics used against Miami.

USC had two bowl bans, Miami had two bowl bans... what difference does it make how it was imposed?

The ironic thing about the whole Nevin Shapiro situation is it is difficult to show how Miami actually benefited, as a program from the benefits he provided players. During the years he was doing this, Miami's program actually began a gradual decline... especially in recruiting.
