Croyle out, Huard in!

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/s...e=NFLHeadlines

Let's hope we can stop the pass rush, or we're in for a long day!

Everyone's bemoaning a Huard start, but its probably a good thing vs SD. Last meeting Huard rallied the Chiefs on the road from a 16-6 haltime deficit to a 30-16 victory. Huard's stat line was pretty healthy:

D.Huard 29 17 284 2/20 2
51 2 86.0
He found Bowe 8x for 164 yards.
Its hardly a bad idea to play Huard when he threw for 284 yards ON THE ROAD vs SD.

We're gonna have to draft another QB, I'm not sure Croyle will ever be able to be a starter with his injury proneness. His odds of making it through a full season seem slim and none.

The Chiefs will never win a Super Bowl. We need an expansion team...and we need to annex the state and have it airlifted into the pacific. This whole region is cursed.

Now Carl will say "This is why you don't draft QBs. It's a crap shoot." And we'll sign some someone else's garbage. Just watch.

LOL, I wouldn't be surprised.....

Truth is being injured was Croyle's biggest knock coming out, everyone knew he was made of glass. If he didn't have that rep it was possible he would have went higher.

I was willing to give him a chance. But I agree that he looks pretty fragile now. He got roughed up a little, but I'm surprised he needs to sit out.

I have reviewed the play in which Croyle was injured at least 15 times and 7 or 8 of those times in slow motion. In slow motion you would not believe how fast it happened. Croyle was being chased by Derrick Burgess (#56). Two linebackers, (Kirk Morrison #52 240 lbs & Robert Thomas #55 235 lbs) kneed him in the back as he slid to a stop. Even Chuck Morris would be out of action for a week after being hit like that.

You are recognized as one of the most knowledgeable persons on this or any other board on the entire internet, Mr. cdcox, so I hesitate to say anything at all. But, I wouldn't go that far.

Croyle played practically the entire game with an injury that would have sent Downfield home to his mommy. I can't remember which game it was, but he was sacked something like a dozen times in one single game at Bama. And that, obviously, didn't include hits. Some of those sacks were full on tackle dummy jobs where the defender wasn't even slowed down by the blocker. He's much tougher than people realize. It's really unfortunate that, from this point forward, if Croyle gets injured people are going to bring out the "made of glass" argument.

Apparently, he suffered some pretty severe bruising that is limiting his ability to move. That doesn't necessarily equate to fragility. It was a freak shot. A one in one thousand thing. The positive side to this is that he's learned not to put himself at undo risk in the NFL.

If this was a freak thing, he'll still get his chance to prove himself. But if buzzards start circling Arrowhead next time he starts, I think the gig is up.
