The only thing that really stood out to me is that his called saftey signal before the snap, and actually getting it. Called his shot, and got it.

In every single way Derrick Thomas was the best linebacker ever to play this game, on and off the field. What he did for the community with his third and long foundation worked marvels. On the field, he is definitely the main reason i was and still am a chiefs fan. I remember that monday might football game in maybe 97 or 98 when we played against the raiders in the first game of the season. he had like 6 or 7 sacks in that game(some players dont ****ing get that much in a ****ing season and he still owns the record for sacks in a game with 7 or 8, i cant remember), and a safety. i strictly remember him calling it right before the snap and i screamed as hard as i have ever before when he took down jeff george.
