whatever is getting you down right ... I promise ... in 5 years, won't even be a thing

and when you're 18 ... 5 years is nothing. 23 was the best year of my life.

Don't waste time being angry. If it's girl problems, or money problems, or any problems ... it's just not worth it. Find things that make you happy (Chiefs, Royals) and develop very unhealthy obsessions towards them (gambling) and at least you'll have something to look forward to every day.

I realize this is terrible advice, most likely...but it gets me by! and I'm reasonably happy, despite all of my terrible vices!

At his age? It's ****ing great advice. He can worry about being responsible when he knocks some crazy bitch up, and really has something to be depressed about.

That's not a knock on him either. Everything is end of the world until you get older, wiser, and realize how easy you had it. Rinse, repeat, die.
