AFC Scout Calls Bridgewater a 2nd Rounder
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap200...iters_huguenin
Can't get over his size/body type. Interesting opinions. I would think Russell Wilson's success would lessen some size concerns. |

I wonder if the scout was Nolan Nawrocki? (just kidding, kind of).
I'm not a Teddy Bridgewater kool-aid drinker, but if that kid doesn't get a first-round grade, what does a QB have to do to get a first-round grade from this scout? If he's listed at 6-3, the guy is at least 6-1. That's plenty of size. It's silly. I look at Bridgewater and see the same general physical skill set (we'll see how it tests out in the combine) you get with Geno Smith, but he seems a bit more NFL-ready (intangibles/maturity).

The owner of the Houston Texans has already publicly stated that they will not be drafting a QB with their first round pick.

The CP scouting department is the one that is clueless. Some people should have learned from the last few years.

That's interesting since nowhere in this thread (or in the article) is Manziel mentioned. For all we know the scout has a 5th round grade on Manziel.

Clark was correct. I would imagine the Texans will follow suit.

He's a nice player, but I don't see "special" with him. I'd agree with what the scout(s) say.
From what I've seen, he has trouble setting his feet and he throws the ball with a half-arm motion that never gets over his ear height. He's also pretty scrawny, especially up top. No thickness to his frame whatsoever. I wouldn't spend a first rounder on him. Actually, I think guys like Fales, Boyd and Murray are pretty solid in the Round 3 area if you want to develop a guy. The only guy I'd spend a first rounder on is Manziel just to see if those insane instincts net you a new Fran Tarkenton. Other than that, I take Boyd over the other guys. I think he's got a nice skill set, shown some grittiness and has a pretty high ceiling. If I were Houston, I'd go with Matthews and get Cutler in free agency. That's a team that needs a guy to step in right now and deliver. They had a really weird year, but they've still got more talent than any team in the AFC. |

The Bengals probably have the most talent in the AFC. A lot of their talent, is aging. Ben Tate is going to be leaving. Foster hasn't shown to be able to stay healthy, nor has mr steroid. I think there are much bigger holes on their team than people want to let on. And you would take Matthews at one, despite them having Duane Brown? I would for them, probably take Barr if not a qb. Barr is a menace. Pair him up on the same side with Watt, have Mercilus on the other side. That's pretty solid. Or trade down with Cleveland. Then take Barr. And the extra picks.
