AFC Scout Calls Bridgewater a 2nd Rounder

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap200...iters_huguenin

Can't get over his size/body type. Interesting opinions. I would think Russell Wilson's success would lessen some size concerns.

No doubt in my mind.
Plus Cleveland has a second first round pick, the one they acquired from Indy for Trent Richardson. Cleveland has the ammo to move up if they decide they want to pay the price and do it.

Yup, pretty good chance it will be a QB going #1.
As they should. This draft is loaded with qbs. And all of the top 10 teams save the Falcons could use one.

I bet you, if the chiefs were drafting one this year, they would be drafting a qb too.

I am betting that 3 of the first four picks, and maybe 4 of the first five, might be qbs.

Depends on if the Raiders value Carr, over Clowney.

Now, its 5 months away.

But,

Hou- Bridgewater,
Stl- Matthews
Jax- Bortles,
Cleveland- Manziel
Raiders- Clowney, or Carr.

Cleveland has 3 of the top 35 picks, they have two in the first, two in the 3rd, and two in the fourth.

But, one correction. They didn't get that fourth for TRICH.

They got that in last years draft by flipping spots with them in the 5th round.

And they should.

They should make sure that who ever it is. If its Bortles, or Teddy, they need to make sure that this year, they get THEIR guy.

personally, I think that is Teddy.

I can hear arguments made for Bortles, or for Carr, or Manziel.

To me, those are all hit or miss prospects.

To me, Teddy is steady. Sorry for the play on words. But, I really think he is the next Russell Wilson.

CP always overvalues QB prospects. Not the position, just the prospects. Every year at this time the Planet thinks 6 QB's are solid 1st rounders, etc. "You're an idiot if you don't think [Clausen, Smith, insert name] isn't a top 10 pick".

Most "experts" do the same then once the qbs get put under a microscope their stock drops.

He's projected as a top five pick, and is 6'3".

How is he the "next Russell Wilson?"

If you want a next "Russell Wilson," I'd look at Tajh Boyd. Guy had some seriously good college stats, won a lot of games, has amazing zip on his ball, is shorter than ideal, but is compact and thick and has the athleticism to extend the play with his legs. He'll also be dropped in the draft because of his lack of height and will likely be there in the third round.

Well. I don't think of Russell Wilson and think short. I think of him as complete, composed, accurate, and a winner. That's how I see teddy.

Poor Man's Tim Couch.

I don't see Bridgewater doing much at the next level, but he could surprise. I think he's being overhyped due to a lack of quality prospects at the position, which, in and of itself, is being overhyped (perhaps due to the fall off from last year's class).

Personally, I don't think that there is a first round QB in this draft other than Manziel, and if I were GM, I wouldn't risk one on him either. However, his instincts and drive on the field are very intruiging and for the right team, it might be worth a shot. Otherwise, I think the two best QB's in the draft are Boyd and Murray.

I like Murray. I think personally boyd is a product of the system, and the elite players he has been surrounded with.

I think he could however do very well in a chip Kelly style offense.

I like him. He's got nice feet, keeps them spaced, the ball comes out really quick...I think he's got Kaepernick/Wilson upside and a lot less things to correct than Bridgewater.

I think he's had a lot to do with elevating the play of guys like Watkins.

You will never get me to agree with you, when you praise Kaepernick.

BLEH.

Russell Wilson, I can agree with lol.

Bridgewater will be the first QB taken. I think the scouts just like screwing with the talking heads. He's the opposite of Geno in this regard. Geno was predicted to be a 2nd or 3rd round pick before last year's season. After the season he got hyped to #1. Bridgewater was predicted to go #1 before the season and now he's projected to be a 2nd rounder? I'm not buying it. Even Matt Leinart only dropped ten spots and Bridgewater is far better than he was coming out.

Manziel with be first off the board. A team would be reeruned to not take that talent even with a few off the field maturity issues.

You're getting Fran Tarkenton on the field and Joe Namath off it with Manziel.

In this day and age, it's a little risky, but if it plays out right...
