2-3 tackles in 2 games, he saved a couple of scores in both games.

I made this point on another thread. It's always good to see him make more tackles than punts.

Didn't he have the most Special Teams tackles today? Sad when that happens!!

Our special teams haven't been too special.
But hey...after the Titan's loss Gunther says he'll take a bigger part in the offense, and shazam...the offense opens up. After the Raider soiree Gunther says he'll take a hand in the defense, and today we saw our D perform like...well, like CHIEFS D is supposed to. Even with the great win today, Mike Stock may have some special teams fundamentals explained in 4 letter terms tomorrow. If that fails, don't bet against Gunther coming off the sidelines and making a few special teams tackles himself. GO CHIEFS!!!<BR> |

Forgot to mention kudos to some aspects of todays special teams, Saurbrauns kicks as well as those tackles. That blocked punt was huge (Mike Cloud-way to go!). And while I'm thinking about it...it was GREAT to see Stoyo kicking off weak for somebody else.

The block belongs to Walker. Cloud recovered the ball in the endzone.
I like seeing Sauerbraun sticking his head in there. Much better than Stoyo's weak efforts over the last 4 years. However, I'd rather see the returners tackled MUCH sooner. Maybe we should put Sauerbraun on our punt return unit. I bet he'd lay some blocks down.... |
