Hey - I watched the game today and I'll be the first to admit that it was Denver's game to lose, and they did. Especially after KC had all those mental error penalties...

23-22 is about what you can expect from AFC West teams. Although, Denver should have won the game ... Gus, proved why he is not a #1 QB.

KCJohnny, I hope this ends your 177.2 rushing yds per game stats. KC should relish the fact that they won the last game in Mile High. I would if I were you.

Both teams are very equal ... this just means Denver has to win at KC. I just hope that Griese is back for that game.

Congrats - I wanted a close game and I got it. I still believe that Denver will have a better record when it's all said and done.

Enjoy...

Thanks for eating your crow with class. That was a really great game. I can't believe how great your run Defense played or vice versa how poorly our run offense was. I still can't figure out if Gus over threw the underneath route or was throwing deep into double coverage. That last pass was ill advised...but I'll take the pick. Yet, another great game between to AFL greats. I think everyone saw today why I still hate the Raida's more than the Broncos.

Way to take your licks with dignity MHM!

I really thought Frerotte played well! His INT came off a tip. We put a lot of pressure on him - he did a good job hanging in the pocket & delivering to his receivers. Can't put any of the blame on him.

Your running game was solid - I thought our D did a good job containing your backs; except for a few carries where we missed tackles. Our running game, on the other hand, was completely shut-down by your front-seven. THAT was impressive. I know our backs aren't exactly the greatest, but we usually can gain yards on our opponents. Your guys shut us down!

Your secondary is undersized IMO - that is why we were able to complete so many passes on you. LBs could not cover Tony G, but they tried anyway - Elvis made you pay for that! In addition to that, your front-seven got very little pressure on Grbac; except when blitzing.

In all, a typical KC/Denver game - tough, close, physical. Was truly a great way to close out Mile High!

I agree, Brad, I also think that they are pretty close to equal. The donks had some good things happen , as well as the chiefs. For the donks, Mike Anderson is for real. He was tremendous, but this was really the hardest hitting he's seen. For the chiefs, the 2 rooks in the secondary were outstanding(they took McCaffrey out for most of the game). After week 4, the race is starting to pan out to what we thought it would be: a dogfight. It's gonna be a long, fun season.

Sometimes victory is sweet. Sometimes it smells a bit like dirty diapers. I'll hold my nose and enjoy it. I'd like a nickel for every time Elway ruined my weekend. Thanks for the sportsmanship.

Brad - Twas a great game. Your D stuffed the rush and your offense cord did a great job of play calling against our lay back defensive style, god I hate to watch the Corner backs 10 yards off the receiver, way to many slants.

I have to say that I was damn happy that it was Crocket who got burned for the final TD.

Gunther 3-0 versus the genius.

I'm glad that you pointed out the 12 weeks thing. Wow, I had totally forgot about that........Why can't people just eat their crow and give us our props without the extra crap?

Stevieray and Pit...
What else do you want? Granted - this thread was created after about 9 beers, two shots of Jack and a disappoint loss. So, it's about as gracious as I could be at the time.

Anywho - KC won the game. Be happy. Gus pretty much guranteed that Griese has nothing to worry about once he's healthy.

Who the hell woke up Crockett?? That was his best game in ages...

As for closing out Mile High ... it was great for KC and you guys to win 'their' final game there, but I'll be looking at the final game against the 49ers.

Let Owens pull that shit at Mile High - I'd love to see Romo and Wilson pile drive him into midfield and let Thunder roll over him.

We'll see you guys at Arrowhead to even the series!!!!!!!

MHM,

I knew you'd be here to face the loss with class......tough luck yesterday. I watched that whole game thinking we'd never get that go-ahead TD in the 4th. I'm not sorry that the opposition has to deal with a loss that should have been a win in many respects.

The Ferrett did show he is not an NFL calibre QB. At least not consistently. He is like Grbac was 2 years ago. Shows flashes, and then throws it away. Even if his arm was tipped on that final throw, it was into tight double coverage. Denver are a better team with (under-rated) Griese under center.

This is going to be a good division race....
Brad - No whining about bad calls, no crying that your team and our played poorly. Seems like you took your lumps just fine.

I knew that you would be a man and 'fess up. After last years bet, this must be much easier to post.

Your brethen could learn alot about humility from you.

QUESTION- Don't the Bronco fans have their own BB?

And if you do: Why do you keep returning here to talk smack? If we were as bad as you say we are would you still return? No, you would write us off the same way you do the Chargers and not give us a second thought. Must be feeling threatend by somthing?!?!?

Just somthing to think about. See ya at arrowhead looser.
"23-22 is about what you can expect from AFC West teams. Although, Denver should have won the game ... Gus, proved why he is not a #1 QB."

You were not anticipating that with your Donks 37-17 win and
Mike "can't block" Anderson rookie rushing record predictions.
