I always got along with SDH, while we vastly differed on Axl Smythe, we had a lot of music/movies type things in common.

But i sometimes would skim past his posts if i knew what he was gonna say.

If I thought for one minute that Clay was a true believer in the shit he spews, I might skew a little more towards your view. But it's pretty clear that he only wants to 'make a mark.' He's not content to be just another fan discussing the team, he has to be the contrarian who stated something forcefully, then if it pans out he's Nostrodamus, and if it doesn't he'll just skulk back into the jubilant crowd until the opportunity to be Mr. Outrageous again.

It may just boil down to him having a histrionic personality, but the boy isn't right.

I have often wondered if the root of his evil is Mecca envy. The early Mecca was getting lots of props for his takes on draft prospects. He seemed to be well researched and people (I think) looked forward to his views. Then things kinda went wrong for him, he was lambasted and went away for a while.

In a come back Mecca thread or something like that, Clay vowed to carry on his shtick or some such like it.

I think Mecca was a much better Mecca than Clay, but what are ya gonna do?
