The infamous Mecca I always read about. I never had the chance to interact with him or read much of his stuff... I think he slowed down in terms of posting before I created my account.

In terms of college player evaluations, there's never been anyone as accurate and all-encompassing a Mecca.

Direckshun, on the other hand, is the Anti-Mecca.

But Mecca's biggest problem was the he was wrong from time to time, yet he would never admit it. Never, never, never.

It became comical.

Mecca thought he was maxed out at Penn State and in all honesty, he was right. Hali was a 7-8 sack guy as a 4-3 end.

Hali's career really exploded once he moved to OLB in a 3-4.

Tamba has shocked a lot of people with the move to 3-4. I always thought he would be a solid #2 4-3 DE behind a sack artist, which he was when he was drafted here.

In the sense that we were initally 'cool.'

I liked Mecca but he was wrong about a ton of stuff. Luckily he wasn't wrong because he didn't know what he was talking about. He understands the game. He was wrong because he over thought things IMO.

I remember that when Hali got here, people said he wasn't big enough or fast enough, but he had a motor and a drive that makes up for it and therefore justified his being drafted. Going to OLB made a ton of sense given his skillset, and whattayaknow, it's worked out pretty well...
