The 49ers have expressed to others that a deal for QB Alex Smith is effectively complete. Can't be finalized til league year begins 3/12

Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora

so it's not official, both clubs view it at as it's effectively done. I do not know the other team. KC and JAX are 2 teams that make sense

Dude you don't need to be an expert. Post opinions, overall I don't mind you. But if you are going to come here and say "take a LT" or "Take a LT and I heard move Albert to RT" at least realize that you are going to get shit since we don't need either position. How can you not understand how it would piss us off for someone to come here and say "oh don't take this guy, take this guy" when the guy you are suggesting is not a position we need.

Damn right we are pissed. Our team has sucked forever and people come in here pretending like they "get it". You don't get it. You don't at all and its not your fault. You can't get it as a 9ers fan. You think your mini stretch of failure makes you understand but it doesn't.

This franchise has been a failure. People cherry pick times to come in and suggest what KC should do. But you know what happens when we follow the suggestions, you all leave and forget to watch how it DOESN'T work. On top of that, half our fan base and all our media are a bunch of mouth breathing idiots.

It's all deaf ears in here. It's not you, it's us.

Everything you say makes sense. We want Geno to be that guy though.

With my belief that the Chiefs will eventually evolve into a 43D I was warming up to a 34-DE/43-DT type (and a QB in the 2nd round). And the only one who seemed to be close to the top pick value there was Star Lotilelei. But of course he may never get even drafted now.

Then he's a certified moron. Several people have already pointed out that Geno is a better QB prospect than Joeckel is an OT prospect - AND - that a very good QB prospect >> a great OT prospect.

So you don't think we should reach for QB but we should draft a LT when we already have a guy to be LT and have a RT? We aren't supposed to be annoyed by that. By you and the experts all ignoring the fact that we don't need a LT?

The problem is, your talking out of your ass, and don't know shit, except you keep pretending you do.

Why do other teams fans keep coming to this forum, talking dumb shit about something they know NOTHING about, and then wonder why they are viewed as ****ing dumbasses?

Go back and read through the ten thousand post original draft geno thread, and then this one. Clear your mind and focus on the posts directly related to Geno. The accuracy breakdowns, the throw breakdowns, hell, do like all of us have and watch EVERY THROW geno has ever made in college. Then come back and tell me hes not worth 1.1

There isn't a lot of daylight between Geno and Barkley. There's a metric ton of distance between them and everybody else.

In that sense, it's a lot like last year.

Please explain to me how taking yet another LT (when we already have a LT & RT as well as young depth at the position) will make the team better?

How "valuable" is a pick that doesn't make your team any better?

Is a LT going to magically make the Chiefs score more points? How about an OLB? Are we going to score more points with a pass rusher? Is that what you consider "value"? Taking a player that will have little to no impact on our roster?

Imo, that's not value....that's wasting a draft pick.

Suggesting we take a LT when there is Albert or suggesting we take a LT and move Albert to RT when we have Winston isn't falling on deaf ears, it's falling on ears that hear it and realize it doesn't make sense.

This isn't hard.
Yeah. You are arguing that Rodgers and Smith were a toss up. The 9ers reached for one and the other dropped. At the time, taking either one at the top was considered a reach. So what?
