I hope not.
As others have said, I can't see these brands going away even for a day. Hell, who knows? The union may straighten out and accept the new terms.

What is the legal reason the company can't shitcan the union workers and hire them or anyone else as non-union under a bk then re-org? Anyone?

It seems the only way to go but I'm not aware if there are legal implications in terms of breaking a bargaining unit in this manner.

They have lost quite a bit of business over this. Many restaurants use Hostess/Wonder/IBC for their buns. They have now switched and most likely, won't switch back.

There is probably language in the contract(s) that says anyone who buys it accepts the terms and conditions of the contract(s).
