I'd go with Blu-Ray for sure. Not only does this very aesthetically interesting show deserve it but the Season 2 DVD transfer is not the best.

Perhaps I mixed up my meaning. Would my point make more sense if I compared portion sizes rather than intellectual heft. It seemed you were suggesting MM has more intellectual heft because it's got a bigger plate. I was just suggesting that just because a show is more focused (WWII : Stalingrad :: Mad Men : Breaking Bad) shouldn't count against it.

But BB doesn't treat its subject with any more focus than MM does its subjects. You are suggesting that MM, by talking about more things, doesn't talk in the same level of detail that BB does. I disagree with that notion. It isn't that MM has a bigger plate, it's that it has multiple plates.

We both agree the level of detail is pretty much equal.

I just think the multiple plates fits into my exact analogy.
