Whew this game is tough! Jus beat 1-1 and the boss after nearly 3 hours of play.... I love it so far.. The no saves until a boss is beaten is wild and a nod to the old school hardcore gamers. The enemy design is incredible and the controls are spot on.
Dark Souls will apparently allow you to save whenever.

I'm definitely going to pick it up after I've done what I can with Demon's Souls.

How are you liking Dark Souls?

I admit, I never finished Demon's Souls. I ****ed up my character build pretty bad when I didn't know what I was doing and I was too lazy to start over.

Dark Souls is great. I like how there aren't "levels" like Demon Souls, it's basically an open world that is stitched together and there are "save points" in a way (bonfires).

The game basically autosaves every second. If you were to power off your system during play, when you fire the game back up you will start at the same place you left off.
I like the bonfires and how you can level up/save/repair weapons.. I also like that they respawn the enemies -- makes for some good soul farming.
What class are you playing as?
