It's weird but when I watch Ian's Magneto, I feel like I'm watching Ian.

When I watch Fassbender's Magneto....I feel like I'm watching Magneto.

I suppose part of that is due to Ian's enormous star power but, still. Michael Fassbender is the man.

You really need to watch the Rifftrax treatments of the first 3 X flicks.

It really points out some of the obvious stupidity you miss. And they are ruthless on gay Magneto...that kind of surprised me.

Probably should start an age of apocalypse thread at some point.

So all the original x-cast is out (meaning no Ian, Patrick or the younger cast). Newly named additions to the cast (ie in addition to oscar issac as apocalypse, fassbender, mcavoy and lawrence) are Sophie Turner as Jean Gray, whom most of you will recognize from Game of Thrones, Tye Sheridan (from MUD and Tree of Life) as Cyclops and Alexandra Shipp as Storm.

I just want to see some cool mutants. They screwed the pooch a bit with First Class in that department but Days of Future Past had some pretty cool ones.

Why do they have to keep ****ing up the timeline and characters?

Why not have an XMEN reboot be the original XMen?

Thats what I thought they did with First class. Just because they did DoFP doesn't mean it was the original timeline anymore.

DoFP did eliminate the entire Wolverine film, which I thought was very good until the final 20 minutes. It also eliminated X-Men 2 and 3. So now that Singer has a clean slate, I hope he gets it right from here on out.
