Come on man, once we made the Trade of Shame we were NEVER in a position to take a QB, and will not be in a position to do so( or at least take one in the legitimate, respectable, statistical chance for success-rounds )until Crapple's contract is nearing it's end or he flames out, or gets injured by a midget, knee-biting Linebacker etc.

The rest of Pioli's drafting and/or method has some sense to it and looks to show some long-term results, but the low-ball QB gambling in the late-rounds is pretty weak sauce. There will BE NO 6th Round QB Superstar in this League ever again.

Truth be told, the Broncos picked a terrible year to be shitty. Von Miller with the second overall pick in the draft? I mean, he's a good player, but you want a lot more than that with the #2 pick overall.

I understand and embrace your point that pinning your hopes in the late rounds/trades for your starting QB is a dumb approach that is less likely to solve the problem than rolling the dice on a QB in the first round.

But let's not pretend that there will never be another Tom Brady again in this league. There will be. That's why selecting a QB with a late round pick every year is smart. You increase the odds of finding that guy.

You can call it a trade of shame, I don't share that sentiment.

He's had 3 drafts, all of which weren't rich with QBs.

Honestly, it's ****ing pathetic that you actually would root for the QB to get hurt. This is beyond reerun/herm obsession.
