Moeaki had "stomach issues"?
'Stomach Issue' Was Tony Moeaki's Injury At The Start Of OTAs
by Joel Thorman on Jun 24, 2010 1:26 PM PDT in 2010 Kansas City Chiefs Season 23 comments Chiefs rookie tight end Tony Moeaki practiced at the Chiefs rookie minicamp the week after the draft at the end of April but didn't see the field again until June 7. Chiefs coach Todd Haley wouldn't elaborate on why he was out only saying that it was no big deal. Haley never comments on injuries when he doesn't have to. So what was the reason for his absence? "He had a stomach issue," Moeaki's agent, Jack Bechta, told Bob Fescoe of 610 Sports on Thursday morning. "It was internal. I don't know exactly what it was but it was borderline. He could have gone. He did go at the end there in the last week." Bechta says Moeaki will be "fine" for the start of training camp. Bectha, putting on the agent hat, went on to say that the Chiefs made a great decision drafting Moeaki. "If he played at a SEC school, or a place that put the ball in the air a bunch -- you gotta remember, he played at Iowa in the Big 10 where I think they throw the ball 15 times a game -- he would've been a first round pick." |

w00t. I really hope something comes out later saying the dude had like 3 feet of his intestines removed. Anything less, and the criticism is pretty much justified. His agent saying "he could have gone" (but he didn't) doesn't exactly inspire confidence in this kid's toughness or will. |

Whatever dude the Arenas pick was a horrible pick. And they gave up picks for an injured tight end. If I knew they were going to do all that I would say **** it and trade up for Linval Joseph. Sean Lee and Brown were much better plays that would be starters and contribute too.

But the guy that missed 50% of his team's game in college - then proceeds to miss 9/15 OTA practices - and conveniently returns for the "mandatory" practices will have excuse after excuse made for him. Awesome. |

Pathetic, but predictable.
