What depresses me the most is that KC wasn't even in the mix to move up. Peter King discusses that three teams (Skins, Browns and Miami) made offers to the Rams with the Redskins obviously offering the most. Thanks for nothing Scott.

It's not a matter of not beating the Skins (two firsts and a 2nd - which isn't that big of a price if RGIII becomes a franchise QB), it's the point that they didn't even make an offer.

Well, if he turns out to be a franchise QB for the next decade... it's worth it. As I mentioned in another thread. During the last 2 decades, the easy majority of teams win SB's with homegrown and developed QBs - not QBs acquired from other teams.

Let's recap...

1) While rumors floated (probably leaked intentionally by the Chiefs PR operation to excite the fanbase) that the Chiefs inquired about trading up with the Rams to draft RGIII... nothing materialized.

2) Despite Clark Hunt going on national TV and indicating that the Chiefs would pursue Manning, the Chiefs couldn't even get a visit scheduled.

Clark's franchise is in absolute shambles.

I don't care if the Chiefs didn't make an offer to move up. Reports out there of what teams were offering to move up 2 or 4 spots was ridiculous enough.
