Gabbert's going to be a monster if he lands somewhere with competent QB coaching. He could be much, much more in the NFL than he ever was in college (and I'm not saying he was bad in college by any stretch...)

Absolutely.

It will be interesting to see who selects him in the third round. .

I'd be a sad panda if we passed on him in the 1st (ultimately, I would understand it though).

I'd be an angry panda if he made it to us and we passed on him in the 2nd.

As I've said before - he's no more raw than Josh Freeman was and he's even more physically gifted.

I think he'll be a good pro if a team is patient with him. I gotta be honest, I'd JIMP if we brought in Gabbert and McDaniels, but that's blasphemy around these parts.

I don't think he gets to #24. If he did, I'm sorry, I think it would be foolhardy to turn down such a gift.

We don't have a single backup QB, and our current #1 was not exactly consistent this year, despite counter-narratives.

He could very well be a Josh Freeman type situation. In college, Freeman looked like a reerun trying to fly the space shuttle. Now he looks really good. Gabbert looks way better than Freeman did, but it could be done.
