Jets tried to trade for Bowe
According to Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson, the Jets contacted the Chiefs about Dwayne Bowe but talks went nowhere and are now "100 percent dead."
The New York Daily News first reported the Jets' interest in Bowe in mid-August. Chiefs coach Todd Haley has been practicing tough love with his No. 1 receiver, so it made sense for a receiver-needy team like the Jets to try and swoop in. Still, Bowe is one of the few offensive building blocks in Kansas City. They would have to receive a windfall to part with him.
