They can kick you out for trespassing for whatever reason they wish if it is on private property. The government however can not censor you legally unless what you are saying is slanderous and untrue. No rights are being violated. SOC just needs to find another forum to voice their opinion other than the very house of the people that their are trying to tear down.

Arrowhead is owned and managed by the Jackson County taxpayers and Sports Authority. It's in no way, shape or form "Private Property".

The Hunt's don't own the stadium or its parking lot. The taxpayers own it.

Yes this is exactly right.

The 1st Amendment means that Congress cannot censor your freedom of speech. Eventually this was applied to the states as well.

I don't see any way that the Chiefs or Scott Pioli can be seen as identical with the government. Thank god for that, because the government sucks enough without Scott Pioli being part of it.

These nebulous "well there's some tax dollars paying for the stadium, so that means they have to follow Constitutional rules" arguments are well, just too nebulous. They can exclude trespassers as it is private property (why you have to buy a ticket) and as pointed out they can throw you out if you don't follow their rules, just like a movie theater if you start making phone calls or whatever.

Now does this mean they aren't gutless p*ssies for doing this? Absolutely not.

I know this has been briefly mentioned in one of the other threads, but since taxpayer funds were used to build and renovate Arrowhead, and it is the counties land, would that not make it a 1st Amendment issue. The stadium is not completely private property, and it is a public event, no?

But the stadium is not owned by the Chiefs. The Chiefs rent the stadium from the county. Or does that not matter?

In any case, it is a horrible PR move for the Chiefs to try to silence the voice of their fans.
