Did Vontaze Burfict end up costing the Chiefs a Super Bowl?
Hang with me for a second on this.

If Burfict doesn't injure the Rapist and Antonio Brown, the Chiefs go to Denver instead of New England. Given that Peyton Manning is nothing more than an exhumed football corpse, the Chiefs would have clearly beaten Denver even while missing numerous starters this week.

Meanwhile, Cincinnati would have gone to New England since Burfict wouldn't have ruined the Pittsburgh game for them. I doubt that they would have won, but they would have given the Patriots a rough game.

Then the following week, the Chiefs would have gone to New England, but Maclin, Ware, and Houston would have been much healthier and it's possible that Morse and LDT would have been back unless New England used their influence with the commissioner to get them benched.

Given that the Chiefs only lost by 7 and won the statistical battle anyway, I think a healthy Chiefs team would have won in New England if we got four starters and Ware back.

So my thinking is that Vontaze Burfict cost the Chiefs a Super Bowl.

Chiefs cost themselves. Can't want to be called the best team but complain about who you play. Playing Denver would have gotten us another week it seems which would have been fun. We would have beaten this team.

I say yes even though Chiefs would still have to over come the Patriot cheating ways. I don't think they get caught as often as they actually cheat.
