That's a god awful trade for the Bucs. At least they can cut him after a few years when he proves he's clearly lost a step.

Maybe a team that can't defend the pass should invest in players that can rush the passer, since cornerbacks can't actually play pass defense now. Just a thought.

I don't see it as one. They need a shutdown corner in that division. He's more valuable to them than most teams because of the WRs and TEs they face. Plus its not got guarantees and that's good for TB.

They paid a first for a year of Revis before he was hitting FA anyway. A year in which he was going to be coming off of major knee surgery.

If they really wanted him they could have waited until the year was over when he opted out then given him a large contract. They could use the #13 overall on a guy who can rush the passer, because outside of McCoy they have crap up front.

Would have been a great landing spot for Jarvis Jones, actually.

I agree but at the rate some of these guys are coming back from ACL injuries, they'll have a guy that can shut down Julio Jones, Colston, Steve Smith, or White if they put him on him.

You can find one in round 2. It's not out of the realm of possibilty. I agree. I'm not a bucs fan so I can't answer that. But Revis allows creative blitzes and schemes.

I don't understand why they didn't just wait it out.

Giving up that much in picks on top of paying 16/yr is just silly.
