Not looking good. Be surprised if he lasts the weekend. The lights are on but no one is home. Just waiting on step mom to make up her mind.

I'm sorry, man.
It's so life-changing when something like this happens. It was for me, anyway. I'll never forget, on the day of my dad's funeral, I was driving around... an absolute mess, listening to his favorite music, driving his truck. And as the world went on around me, I simply couldn't bring myself to understand how all these people were oblivious to the fact that one of the greatest people ever was gone, and that someone in their midst was in crushing pain. Then, at the funeral, you find those people who do know, and who are feeling it. And you see a small part of the breadth that he touched, and you feel pride that you learned to be like him. That people care that you are in pain. And that's a great thing about sports fandom in general, and Chiefsplanet in particular. I don't know you. I don't even particularly remember your posts. But I have an idea of the pain you're feeling, and I am sorry. I pray for healing for you and your dad in all of its myriad forms. I pray that you spend the next few days remembering all that was remarkable about your dad, and not dwelling on grief. |
