Vermeil on MNF

Love this guy. Dick for GM.

His endorsement of Reid is enough for me to want The Walrus in KC.

Was it Vermeil's idea to hire Greg Robinson? If so, GTFO. Robinson is THE worst defensive coordinator in the history of football.

That said, those were some exciting times. The Priest Holmes era was fun to watch.

Yes. They might have gone on quite a playoff run that year...part of that 6th seed making a run phenomenon. Didn't Pittsburgh edge us out and then go on to win the Super Bowl that year? I'm not sure.

GRob was horrible, but The the Chiefs still didn't get blown out as much as they have under Pioli.

Of course, that's probably because our offense was better and our time of possession was a lot better.

Yep. Cowhers only SB title. They were 10-6, same as us....one of those odd years where 10 wins wasn't enough for a playoff berth. If only we had beat the Eagles, Cowboys or Bills that season.......

And IIRC, that Cowboys game was the one where we had the phantom hold in the end zone and then drove down for a FG only to see it get shanked. Now I'm just getting pissed.

Ya, and the Eagles game we held like a 17 point lead at one point....then lost. The Bills game we could only score 3 point on the road against a 5-11 team.

TOP was probably about the same. Only difference was we scored touchdowns instead of punting/fumbling/throwing picks/the odd field goal on every possession.

say what you will, but I loved watching games in the Vermeil era. In fact, ever since I have watched the games (well, not so much this year) but haven;t really enjoyed them like I did in the Vermeil era.

Listening to Romeo on the radio today got me thinking and made me realize just how much I dislike RAC, Herm, and Bruce Weber.

Also, Pat Surtain dropped a pick-six.

We could play "Can you top this" for a good long while, regarding shit that happened in that game.

Now I'm pissed, too.

Irony I sense in this thread.

Yeah, we haven't had a coach that can do that for a while. Maybe they could hire him to come in and give the pregame and halftime speeches, since RAC is apparently taking a nap at those times.
