Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

I have a 92FS, and it's a simply gorgeous handgun.

Do what you like, I don't think it can be screwed up (short of a Broncos/Rainbow grip)

Mine is an M9a1, i absolutely love it. But i must say, after handling my M&P Shield 9mm.. That thing seems gigantic by comparison.

This particular scare is kind of stupid. There is plenty of other ammo out there that is much better.

Of course, this will strongly hurt the brass market since a lot of 2nd hand brass is from 855.
Agreed. It is stupid, but it shouldn't be surprising given the last few years: mass shootings, the threat of an Assault Weapons Ban, and gov't decrees banning certain guns/ammo.

Almost every round I own is hand loaded. I don't mess with the off-shelf stuff unless it's for my AK or SKS.

Sierra Match King FTW. For cheap plinking the Midsouth dog bullets are awesome and only cost .08 a piece when purchased in bulk. With powder and prime that's about .20/round for a bullet that will smoke almost anything off shelf for accuracy.

I told my dad I might rest easy at 100k. Bullets are an investment at this point.
.338 Laupua??? What you slinging those with?

Free shipping code is "SH1390" for anybody that wants some while its in stock and reasonably priced.
I just went down to the local Cabela's for the hell of it and they are still loaded up with it. I bought 10 boxes just to justify my gas in my super duty to drive down there and as they say, you can never have to much ammo.

Proposed ban on 855. I don't think it will go through, but the damage is done.

Indeed, I figure if it doesn't I'll just use it to chop down some trees and or slay some gophers.

On a side note the ammo companies have to be rubbing one out because sales have to be going through the roof for the crap. I'm surprised cheaper than dirt hasn't raised their prices to $2 a round, useless rat soup outfit that they are. After what those assholes pulled during the last ammo scare I would rather throw rocks at a grizzly than buy their ammo or anything else they sell. There have been times I have paid more money for the same thing just to avoid giving them any business over the last two years.
