Who is still on the Alex Smith bandwagon?
Since the Denver game many of the Smith apologists threw up the white flag and surrendered to reality. I was wondering how many brave souls are left circling the wagons in defense of Alex. Who still thinks Smith is good enough of a QB to lead a team to the Super Bowl? Sandy? Saccapoo? Marcellus? Bueller?

I can agree to that.

There are times when the offensive line plays like complete dogshit and there are times when Alex Smith has all day to throw and then shits down his leg.

But almost all QBs go through times when their offensive line hits a rough patch. Those QBs don't freak the **** out and go into a shell.

They say that the good ones have an alarm that goes off in their head. Alex's alarm just goes off when he plants his back foot.

They should implement some electro shock therapy or something like a dog collar. Zap him when he tries to take off.

Is what it is. We could be in worse shape. I came off the bandwagon last year against the 9ers. That heartless 2 minute drive to lose the game at the end was all I needed to know about Alex. That said, he was, and is the best option for this team right now. Hopefully a better one comes along, but let's be perfectly honest here, Alex is not even at the top tier of this team's issues right now. Unless of course the players around him sans Maclin have just completely given up on him. We'll find that out Sunday. If we don't come out and absolutely maul the ****ing Bears, stick a fork in this entire season. Because the only way that happens is if this team has given up, and I can't imagine any reason why they would so early unless they've lost faith in their coaches, their QB, or both.

I never slurped his man seed, but I was among those who thought he was servicable given enough talent around him. This was the year the team IMO was going to take the next step toward a championship and they are failing miserably. So yeah, I'm over the alice experiment

Reid has his issues, as do most coaches.

I firmly believe that a QB is what makes great coaches great. A great QB masks a lot of those inefficiencies.

If you gave Reid....say...Aaron Rodgers, everyone would be talking about how amazing Reid is.

I was checking out Kool Aid's wikipedia page and found this impressive, and it gave me a little hope.
