Hindsight poll: Should King Carl hired Mike McCarthy instead of Herm?
We had our choice of any coach that off season. The Chiefs job was considered the best of all the open NFL jobs.

Should have King Carl hired McCarthy over Herm? Or someone else other than those two former Chiefs assistants?

Is McCarthy getting credit for Farve's rebirth? Is he resonsible for the Packer rebirth?

Is it too early to decide on Herm yet?

But if we are going back, then I'd like to go back to when Vermiel was hired, and have Lamar fire Carl (or move him) and hire Holmgren as coach and GM.

Interesting question. I would probably say I wouldn't want to hire neither because it is hard to judge what kind of HC McCarthy is without a HOF QB running the show.

Herm was the guy I wanted as soon as the search began. I thought he was the best option for the best job that was available. I thought his defensive mentality and belief in playing young guys was just what the Chiefs needed after DV. So far its not looking very good.

In hindsight McCarthy or Payton probably would have been better choices.

We might not have even won a playoff game under DV but it sure as hell was fun watching the games...more than I can say for Herm..I fall asleep during Chiefs games now
